Al Ghalia “Gives Back” over BD 16,000!

Al Ghalia’s Give Back 2010 campaign concluded on November 5th with a very special donation of BD3400 to the Child Care Home, courtesy of Lilou Artisan Patisserie.

Over the last 7 months, all seven of Al Ghalia’s outlets have taken a turn to donate a day’s revenue to seven children’s charities in Bahrain. Every penny customers spent in the company’s outlets was donated to children in need to The Child Care Home, Children with Cancer, Mother & Child Welfare Society, Steps Rehabilitation Centre, Alia for Early Intervention, The Friendship Society Kindergarten for the Blind and Ria (School).

The result was an astounding BD 16,000 being raised from all seven outlets!  The money has been pegged for various individual items for each charity such as education for under privileged children, brail machines for blind children to take home to continue their studies, living expenses for orphans, visual aids/games for cancer patients to help with painful procedures and much more.

At each event, patrons who attended the outlet were able to enjoy the company of good friends, excellent food, superb service and know that the money they spent was for a worthy cause.

Al Ghalia would like to thank everyone who attended and supported these very popular and charitable events.  We look forward to the next occasion where we can reach out once again to many poor children  in Bahrain and help bring changes to their lives.
