Deep condition once a week – leave a deep conditioner on for 15-20 minutes –look for products that contain protein, olive oil and other moisturizing ingredients or ask a Dessange stylist what they recommend.
Use a moisturizing shampoo
Dry your hair naturally – Blow drying and other hair tools will cause the hair to be brittle so whenever you can dry your hair naturally. Never towel dry your hair by rubbing it vigorously – a gentle blot will be fine.
Brush your hair – select a soft brush and don’t pull or tug. Brush long slow downward strokes to stimulate the scalp and help the natural oils distribute from the hair shaft. Never brush wet hair – use a wide tooth comb to detangle hair when wet.
Eat Balanced Diet – eating well is not just for your body and skin it will also effect your hair. Eat plenty of green, leafy vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean protein and good fats. Protein rich foods as well as containing vitamin A. B, C, E and K are especially good for your hair. Additionally look for foods that are high in Silica, such as potatoes (including the skin) asparagus & cucumbers. |
